Has anybody on here tried putting their nova on classic car insurance, and if so who's best? it must be possible as my mate has his cav turbo on classic car and its 3 years younger than mine.

I think Adrian Flux do classic insurance.... Probably has to be quite limited mileage though.

well after speaking to flux and telling them how ridiculous my ?798 renewal was on 5000 miles i asked for classic car insurance. they told me there wouldn't be much difference, but i pushed them anyway and they quoted me ?313. not much difference eh!!! the other thing is they don't need my no claims which means i can transfer my 9 years no-claims to my van which only has 2 at the moment. If anybody hasn't tried it i would push for it as they say the car has to be over 10 years old, which means all novas are eligible.

Result! :thumb:

Might have to get a Nova as a runabout now and insure it on a classic policy...

i'm 27, but ?798 with 9 years no-claims is a bit steep for a near standard gsi. imagine how much it would be with the planned turbo conversion!!

I've just insured my LET'd Nova with Adrian Flux, cost me ?575 fully comp with limeted miles (5000). I'm 26 with 9 year no claims, my cars an A reg (1983 !) didn't think to try and get it on classic car insurance.
