running problem

changed my cam belt last nite, and in the process broke my fuel pump...

got another fuel pump from a 1.6 astra engine...mine being a 1.4 ....

fitted it and it was fine...since then i've used the car....was ok...alittle lumpy....

now though when i drive it, it feels like it has a fueling fault.... maybe dirt in the line?

are the pumps the same? pressures diffenerent on 1.4 and 1.6 mannual fuel pumps?


someone said the belt could be a tooth out...but surely if that was the acse it would run poorly all the time....?


anyone help at all?

Did you mark the belt and sprocket?

all the lines matched up with the marks....

and no i didn't....

if the belt was a tooth out wouldn't run poor all the time? a timing gun will show me won't it?
