loose breather pipe

ive fitted a corsa SPI airbox onto my 1.2i (so it clears the strut brace) but now i have a loose/spare breather pip

it comes off the back of the block and should connect to the old airfilter housing. around an inch in diameter

is it essential for it to be fitted? could this be to blame for bad fuel consumption?

You connect it to the breather inlet on the airbox.
I extended the pipe using another piece of pipe.

cant i just block it off?

If you dont connect it to the airbox you will have a massive airleak, as the box has a hole in the front for the breather.

You cant block the breather as it needs to breathe,Lol.

hmm might set about connecting it up then lol.

runs perfectly fine

burning a wee bit of oil but im binning the 1.2 in favour of a 1.4SR anyway
