hi, some of you probably know im rebuilding a gsi engine and fitting twin 40's, now i have some time and money i can get on with it. all i need is some info on parts.

fuel pressure regulator - which one?

fuel pump - do i need one? would it be better with one?

cam - which one? wot sort of power would i get from a AST2 or and AST3?

Dissy - am i right in thinking i need a carb one? and wots else - coil?

btw the car this engine is going in is a 1.2 carb atm.

fuel pressure regulator - which one? See below

fuel pump - do i need one? would it be better with one? you can use the 1.2 pump, but a facet red-top with regulator might be more reliable

cam - which one? wot sort of power would i get from a AST2 or and AST3? anything between 285 and 300 degree would be best

Dissy - am i right in thinking i need a carb one? and wots else - coil? 1.4sr (14NV) dizzy, module and coil is the one you want

btw the car this engine is going in is a 1.2 carb atm.

Hope this helps

If you want new pistons/rods, ARP bolts & a balanced crank, Ive got said items from a 17k old E16SE rebuilt at great cost but dismantled.

you might have to use the 1200 cam housing as the 1600 has the fuel pump blocked off, i used a facet red top pump in my bay and works a treat along with a pressure regulator - bought these from fuelsystems

red top should be as close to the tank as possible.... it will have a shortened life in the bay

ah rite - I'll change it round once everything has been sorted out on the car
