View Full Version : Help Please, Would 16" wheels fit over hi spec 6 pots with 325mm rotors??
I have 6 pot Hi spec calipers with 325mm rotors, i tried a speed line 16" alloy over this set up with no joy, believe speedlines don't have the best brake clearance anyway, would compomotive 16" wheels fit as i think they have good brake clearance??
You help please:thumb:

don't know, but them 6pots must be brutal braking power ! IMO the wheels would stop and the shell will go on ahead lol

hmmm off the top of my head i would say maybe not. My 15s only have about 2mm clearance over my 284mm brakes, those bad boys are going to need some serious clearance.
308s barely fit with 16" Speedlines.
You will probably need 17s.
Seems a bit overkill for a Nova IMO.... anywoo, 315mm just about squeeze under my standard faff wheels, and thats with some rather large calipers and a specifically designed wheel. I'd say you'll need 17s.
I agree a bit over kill but got at a bargin price off a mate, and i can never let a bargin go past. lol
I measured the radius, from center point of rotor to widest part of caliper is about 7.4 inch so full diameter is gonna a be 14.8 inch and thats without and breathing room!!
I guess it's gonna be 17s, would still be keen to find out the inner diameter of a 16inch compomotive or the likes.
thanks all for your input.
cheers
