Fucking jesus, get that car looked at very soon. I have a GSi, which sometimes is drived pretty hard !! I get 220 miles to ?25, so that would be 88 miles to a tenner. You must drive like a loon, high revs all the time ?? or your cars not running right ??

Mine has become well juicy with my latest mods, and I get about 80-90 miles 4 ?20. That isn't motorway miles though, it is all more or less around town. But it goes like a gooden, so I don't care about the petrol!

blimey 80-90 miles to twenty quid get it in the garage straight away, my 1.4 sri on a 92 plate does about 100-110 around town and that's racing some twat who thinks he has a quick car.

I was only getting about 60 miles off a tenner, but the choke kept sticking on. I have had that sorted and can now get about 90 miles.

Dont forget that sr`s have a carb not a clever injection system that delivers the exact amount of fuel. They just bung in as much as poss. Also sr`s are twin choke, and when the second choke opens at over 2/3rds throttle, you`ll get double or more air and fuel. So if you drive not using full throttle you`ll save loads. My sr used to do about 120 on a tenner, but now I`ve modde it, it does about 30! Its worth it for the power I get.
