View Full Version : My Nova - some pics (56k beware!!)

Had my nova since Dec 04 and been doing little things here and there since then. Started off as a mk1 1400 SR that already had an XE engine but it had a porous head and quite alot of piston movment when I removed the head. Ended up buying an engine which was advertised on here but it was never running right even tho I had it rolling roaded at 189bhp so ended up selling the carbs and and going back to standard injection with just cams. Until the MOT a few days ago I was running kent supersport cams (didnt know what cams it had until I removed them) which are too big for my setup now and were causing problems with the HC gases on the emissions. Now got standard cams and a years mot but its running really well. Dont know what to do now as it seems just as quick without the cams but doesnt sound as good. Here is some pics anyway as I have never posted any.

Vectra is really good for towing, 150bhp cdti 6 speed but it really does need SRi springs as its so soft. Trailer is a tiltbed 3500kg gross weight so it was a bit heavy but its sold now so looking for a smaller lighter one. As for the budget comment, including buying the car and every other cost it could possibly have its over ?4k now
