engine mush

today i managed to take the head of my 1.4sr
i knew it was damaged but it thought it was ust a valve.
when i looked at the pistons they were all damaged, looks like the bit snaped off the follower and managed to get in to the piston area

this has caused scoring and dents on all pistions and also under the head where the base of the valves are.

is it worth me keeping this engine, or is it well and truely feckt?

aslong as the bore's are'nt scored its maybe worthwhile changing the piston and rings? Just a matter of deceding if it would be easier to just buy another 14nv block

yea, just found a 1.4 mpi corsa engine with only 19k for ?150
so i may buy that.
still gutted as this sr engine was dam fast, and sentimenal value to my mates who owned it before i did. was in a few good rally cars.

does that mean u have a spare c14se head as you said you had one in another post

its also damaged, i may have it going soon with a load of other bits, see what happens.
