A 2channel amp can only run one sub in bridged mode( to get the most out the sub)

You need a 4channel amp to run a sub and speakers, or two subs.

so if i got the 2 channel amp and the 1 sub, will this work?

You can use a 2ch amp in bridged mode(i.e. uses both channels) to run one sub yeah.

Id get a 4 chanel amp to run your component speakers on. i had a maystar qx 4 channel amp runing my components in my 106 and it sounded spot on. their pretty cheap aswell :thumb:

blimey ...I was running a 2 channel for a pair of 10 subs ...is it really imperative to bridge using a 4 channel?
or...
would it be better to swap the four channel amp i,ve used on front and rears , placing it on the subs , and running the 2 channel for the fronts and the head unit only for the 6x9s ?

You can run as many subs as you like on any amp, you just need to make sure the load and power works out correctly for optimum use.

For example, I have one JL 10W3V2 sub running off my monoblock Alpine MRD M605 amp. I can safely add another JL sub to it and keep everything working properly and have the same power going to the subs.

It isn't imperative no, but you get the most out the sub by running it in bridged mode on a 2ch amp.

connecting both subs in paralel to a bridged output from a two channel would give the most volume, as (providing the subs are 4 ohm) the amp will only be seeing a 2ohm load, therefore working less to get the same output.
