You could only hit sub 4.5 seconds if you don't need to change gear.
There's no way the rough sounding V6 in that video can push those numbers.
I'd love to see the video of that Nova doing 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. No offence to them but for a sub 5 second launch, not to mention making full use of the "350bhp" you'd either need some damned good tyres or 4WD.
I'd also like to see a video of it on a track, attempting some corners :D
well i actually went out in that nova this morning. and i must say wow! it was amazing, ok i think the 0-60 time is out a little but still was very very impressive, still had to pull away in second though as first gear was useless
Thanks for looking at the website, and cheers mate for the compliments on the car, it is impressive and extremely fast, the 200bhp is from the lightened flywheel and bigger throttle bodies, mapped ecu and 3L cams. I agree, the car doesn't sound too good in the video, its shot in the unit on a camera phone and was being revved up at the time. I will get more pro shoots done, but just wanted the website up and running fast. Many improvements still to be made to it.

It doesnt work properly in opera :p.
Ok. I will try to get another video done b4 it goes tomoro and post it on. It really isnt as it sounds in the vid, as 'jbobo' said - he came out in the car this morning and it is amazing. The 0-60 is ambitious, it is possible for V6 Novas if the set up is right as they are so light but generally it is around the 5 second mark.
it does sound pretty damn awesome, dont ask why my names jbobo on here lol i have no idea myself! cheers for taking us out today and sorting out my digi dash. hopefully i will be seing you soon for the conversion.
When Brett Rogan built his v6, it couldn't crack 7 seconds 0-60, and it's heavier than an XE so I don't get this "Because it's so light!" story?
I'll tell you what, to solve the mystery I will take it out today myself and run a test..that way we will know for sure. See you soon mate for the conversion - no probs about the digi dash :thumb:
There is hardly any weight difference between the XE and the V6 engines.
Surely you have only one enlarged throttle body to get the 200BHP mark as if you have throttlebodies as stated then there is something major up to only be 200BHP.

170BHP As standard.
and jsut how much power does a lightened flywheel give?

V6 has got to be heavier aint it, more cylinders, bigger block etc.
more bits dosent mean its heavier....
Technically the V6 is a small block but cant be assed to go into all that, IIRC there is about 8-10kg difference.
Can just about lift and carry both for about the same distance. so not too much in it.
