Im thinking some of the wires may be in the wrong place in the power block? When it arrived it had a few out so i have followed the head unit guide on here and put them in the right place (i think) problem is i connect it to my corsa B blocks (they do fit) and it wont power on?? Though there is 3 blocks all togther to connect to and the head unit only has 2? CDM7874RB model.. (the cd changer one)
Here is a link to a photo of the back of the head unit... and help mucho appreciated guys!http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/images/smile/wavey.gif

Also if you can think of any fuses i should check (apart from the headunit one which i have checked) please say also

the three pugs in the corsa loom are for speakers, power, and that dodgey little display on the dash. i think they are in that order too (from bottom to top). your not going to need the dash display one anymore. so you will only need the speaker and power ones. I think the power one is the centre plug (if not it will be the one with a wire in thicker than all the rest!) and the speaker one will either have all 8 wires or 4 wires in the centre depending if your car has just front or front and rear speakers as standard.
the speaker plug is a straight swap. i dont think it will fit to the other two because of the position of the release clip, same goes for the power plug.
now looking at your headunit plug, the blacks the earth, red and yellow are positive (1 permanant and 1 ignition), blue is remote out and orange is usually linked to the dash lights for a dimmer function.
try undoing all the wires in the pick and connecting them together properly i.e. red-box-red, yellow-box-yellow black-black etc... as im not sure the orange should be connected to the red from that box. that may be your problem. if you loose the memorywhen you switch of the unit just swap the red and yellow round.
i hope this makes sense, just wrote it after being interupted by the phone countless times!

Cheers mate^^^^ i have checked it all out with my multimeter and ther is power from both the live and ignition and the blue wire all gewttin to the back of the headunit... does this mean its ****ed or would the orange wire be the problem (should the orange wire have 12v going to it?)

Orange will show +12v when the lights are turned on, the blue should only be live when the head unit is on, as this is the wire that controls electric ariels and amps.
