which head would be the best for the 14nv engine?
ill be running t40s aswell so need to know what inlet manifold ill need if i had a sri head.
also is the sri head the same as any vauxhall 1.4 8v mpi heads?
cheers

iv been searching and ill need the gte inlet manifold for the t40's which is too much hassle so think ill just get the 1300 head?
is the 1300 better than the 1200 carbed head?
cheers
the 1200 head is "better" than the 1300 one, BUT the compression ratio might be too high to be useable on std fuel/ign advance...
getting a 1.6 mpi T40 inlet is a piece of piss lol. www.tuning.co.uk sells them

dont fancy paying that price for one though
so the 1300 is the best all round one?
The SRi head is best for your 1400 engine.
Yes they are the same as mk3 astra 1.4MPi heads etc.
Anything with a C14se engine code.

A 1300 head would still be an improvement over the 1400. The 1200 might not suit as adam said, and if you can't use the sri head the 1300 would be an improvement over std item, but you'd be best having the 1300 head worked abit (ported, polished gasflowed) anyhow, it save's you having to remove it in the furture to tune it up a little and get the baisc's done now like grinding valve seats and stem seals.
the cost of getting a 1300 head ported etc would be more tha buying a manifold to suit the mpi heads which yield better results than a ported 1.3 head.... (basic porting that is not bigger valves etc)

if i get the sri head and use the sr cam carrier so i can use my mechanical fuel pump will it all still fit with the sri t40 inlet manifold. ie the manifold wont be in the way of the pump
cheers
it will all be fine like that
