That's the first valver I ever drove. Went to a vpcc meeting in lincoln, went out as a passenger then had a drive. Thanks Adrian (wherever you are!) for fuelling an obsession!!!

My missus hates you though, because I've spent money on nova's that she could've spent on shoes and handbags lol!

I knew Adrian... yep from Lincoln..

He had his car sorted by ASW not long after mine was finished.

He phoned me on several occasions asking about the ASW job. My ex girlfriend lived in Lincoln so i was over there most weekends and went to the VPCC meets they had at the pub just of the A46 (The Woodcocks)?? Took him out in mine etc...with seeing/driving mine thats why he went to ASW.

Im sure i have his contact details somewhere... i'll dig them out! Im sure he worked for British Rail??

Got it!! Adrian Hibbard :thumb: 01909 475644 / 01427 881112 don't know if these numbers are still the right ones??

Cheers

Yeah I remember that one from REVS. August 98 IIRC.

Love the Wolfrace Raceliight wheels too. Cant say Ive seen em on any other Nova.
Ive got some pics of it from a VPCC meet in 98 somewhere.

Was looking around for info on this car/owner on google when I found this thread so thought I'd add to it with as much as I know in case it helps the current or future owner.

Adrian was actually from Worksop and did work on the railways at a power station which is where I first came to see the car and meet him. He had all the work done to the car at a place near Oxford, Vauxshop I think it was but as Nick Caro posted previously he wasn't happy with it so took it to ASW who carried out stitch welding and strengthening on the front end. If I recall correctly he ditched the coilovers it had at the time of the Revs feature (Avo or Leda) for Bilstein top adjustables at the same time. The last time I saw him he'd just got rid of it and was driving an estate I think it was.

I was blown away the first time I saw the car as I hadn't long since got my own Nova and was just starting out modifying mine. Like RJM25R I also got a passenger ride in the breeze blue beast and it felt mighty quick.

This was the first 16v nova I ever got a go in! December 1999 at the PNG Yorkshire Christmas party!

I still speak to Adrian via Facebook he still works on the railways. Sadly the car is long gone, I found a car on eBay a few months back that had a blue Gsi bumper on with fogs like he had and a rear bumper the same which he confirmed to be his as he spotted a burn mark on the rear skirt that he recalled doing, the engine was also blue as per his, so sadly another one that's gone to the big show ground in the sky
