Are you for real?

What use is my custom-colour painted tailgate to anyone? They'd have to strip the vinyl off anyway before they have it painted to match their car, and then I've got to try and match my paint on a different tailgate!

have you voted on the wheels thread???? Could do with some more positive on there!

I had a BMC CDA on mine (same design as yours), it was the biggest they do (for 3.0) it was 220mm x 180mm & it fit but very very tight, it scratched the cambelt cover & the paint in front of the turret, couldn't get the cold air feed on either :(

Made no difference to induction noise lol

It's a car. Its old. It's not really worth a great deal of money. It's for driving around very fast and scaring old people. It lives outside. It gets wet. It will rust. It will be used, not left in a heated garage. It will (eventually) die. I will miss it. I will be glad I owned and used it. I will have good memories.
The end.

fair one, just a shame to see good example go thats all

It hasnt gone anywhere & its a bit of rain thats all.

Centrally heated garage is just as bad a place as any to keep a car. The humidity will rust a car indoors just as bad as bad weather does outside.

K95' is probably fully Waxoyled anyhow, so worry about your own before someone elses....

I agree with rick. At the end of the day its a nova, they were nowt special when they were made and are still not special now. Much the same as all vauxhalls. None were special or demanded anywhere near as much of a following as a Mk1 Golf, a RS500 or a Escort Cosworth. They were cheap affordable cars back then and now they are just cheap cars and are not at all desirable.

I'd say go for red rear lamps, but a darkish red.

Considered a skinny front splitter, something smooth like the laguna un-vented one ?

Clear wing repeaters on a dark green car stick out like a sore-thumb :(
Standard Rear Wiper ? get it changed bud ;)

Muchos respecto, improving on near perfection is always gonna be difficult :D

When Novas are low enough, they dont need the splitter IMO. Amongst all the 'Speedlines are too common' & 'GSi kits are everywhere' comments surely its just as fresh to see a GSi without some pikey bit of stolen Renault trim stuck to the fr bumper?

Car is taxed and has a richbrook holder, which the valeters at work removed it to clean the windows inside and as it won't stick back in, it's "sat" on the dash until I can get some appropriate stickers to fire it back into the window.

I placed it on the floor while I took the piccies because it looked cleaner!

PS I also have a 2nd tax disc holder which contains a PNG pound sticker (tryin to keep it Old Skool-PNG RIP!)

Any photoshop wizards ????

RJM25R
08-08-07, 08:30 AM
Thats the plan. Genuine split rims. My perfect wheel would be Revo rfx split rims, but no longer made in Vaux fitment.
Only issue with these is will they fit over 288's and v6 clipers? Anyone who's seen the Revo's in the flesh, as it were, have commented on the 1mm clearance between the wheel and the caliper!

I loved the car on speedlines, but want it to be different
I never liked the gold racelines personally, and sold them for ood money, it wasn't worth painting them or anything like that.

Paradoxically, i WOULD have the centre's of these splitties gold.......

All I need to do is try them over my brakes. If they fit, they're going on (et33 so they'll have my ultra-rare 165/50/15@ stretched tyres on to fit their girth under the arches)

Maybe I can lower it a litle more !!!?????!

Doubt many places would want to fit those tyres

Also doubt you will get it as low as it is now without modding the arches more as surely the rims sticking out an extra 12mm or so will cause issues with the arch.

We fit 165 tyres at work onto an 8" wide wheel for a guy who has a mk1 golf GTI, so I won't have any problems. Working at a VW garage has it's benefits!

My manifold being an inch off the ground is more worrying than 12mm extra width on the ET of the wheels.!

Thing is, the rims width/offset isn't as crucial as the tyres. The wheel itself isn't going to rub the bodywork, only the tyre. The Revo rims I have on now are miles away from the arch (more than 12mm) without tyres on, so I'm confident those new wheels won't touch the bodywork at all. Going for the 30mm smaller width of tyre will give MORE clearance.

?250 per wheel, hmmm bit pricey

A suggestion for you......

On your current wheels, get the outer rim mirror polished & in between the spokes, creating the illusion of wider wheels.
(Maybe some chrome allen bolts drilled & tapped into it)

Then get some wheels spacers to fill the arches better (12mm is too much clearance, you should be ashamed lol)

Some narrower tyres would be cool, more stretch again enhancing the width.

It's a compromise until gettin' the splitties.

one has a tax disc in it, one has a round PNG badge in it. I used to have them stacked but like it better like that.

Hop over to regional, NW section, you may see some other better piccies!

The mesh is spposed to be see-through so that you can see the oil cooler in the stainless panel

It's gonna look awesome, can't wait to see it !!!!!!

A Tan Leather interior would just finish it off :) :)

Mates mk1 golf vr6 painted same green as yours (Rio Verde?).....

Tan contrasts it perfectly & gives it a show look ;)

was thinking the same, dont know if urs is the same nova i used to see in dartford, kent bout 6 or 7 years ago, the was one same colour (think with bonnet vents) but had cream leather interior, was so tempted to buy it but the insurance would have killed me (pretty sure it was an xe!)
