on the mk2 nova, ive heard that it odes not need side repeaters to pass the MOT. Is this true?

Mine past last year without them, but i've heard they are stricter on side repeaters with the new computer system, a mates Mercedes import failed this year(computer test) for not having any, but passed last year(old test).

mine aint got any and pass the mot fine, new style one too

Depends on the MOT tester. Some will pass me some won't.

it will pass as the front indicators can be seen from the side (the requirement of the MOT), due to the fact that they wrap around the front wing.

From the MOT manual: Stand to the side of the car, 1 meter away, parallel to the back. If you can see the front indicator light up you don't need side repeaters.

surely if u plug them up and this is visable then u may stand a chance of failing because it "should" have them fitted :confused:

ah, then i will just fit them, i keep on loosing the bloody caps on my other nova. lost one today, only put it on yesterday :S

Mine does'nt have them. But the hole has'nt just been filled over, as the previous owner fitted pattern wings and they had no hole for indicators or ariel mount.
