Hi all

here's few pics of my nova, the turbo conversion has taken alot longer than expected but hopefully it will be ready for PVS!

Had it running again yesterday after the water return pipe from the turbo split, the car would of been finished by now if it wasnt for autovaux! ordered a load of parts from them and they are still not here after over a week, apparently they will deffo be here for tomorrow :(

Also I ended up in A&E yestday after boiling hot coolant sprayed all over my left hand and right arm! the pain was unreal but after a does of bandages and cocaine (cocodemol) Im ok :D

Off the the ring a week today I'll be in a rented vectra so if anyone is there over the bank holiday weekend you will probably catch me mooching round the carpark!

The main problem with the car is that im getting oil & water mixing, so if I have time im going to get the head off and get it sorted!

its an eds 8.1 ltr from regal, bit of a t*at to get it to fit the bumper. I have had two apparent frontera sport ones both were too big!

Looks good mate, only thing that i can say is about the radiator sitting weird, yes it is tight at the front of the old nov ive had the same probs this winter, as they say theres a hard way and easy way, hard way always the best option for me tho, see u down at the pod.

Yes with the rad your best mounting it in the center and drilling new holes for the lower mounts. That way it will sit right.

Yip thats the way to do it, i ran a corsa turbo d rad last year excellent cooling just to big wasnt happy with the fit, so this year gone to pro alloy and had a custom rad n intercooler made to suit ma motor not easy as i use a mk 1 bumper that doesnt cover the valance, all that alloy looks ace, might try put some pics up of it at the moment.

No oil cooler?

One thing I would do is remove the sound deadening from the underneath of the bonnet to try and let some heat out.

Nice work mate!
Fitting mine in the car tomorrow so looking forward to having problems! lol

Will the rad fit fit the rad in its standard postion or will I need to get a new front mounted fan?

Simps.

im running a brand new 1.2 rad with the right hand side modded to allow the boost pipe to go underneath it. You can mount a 1.6 rad centrally though. Got my cooling fan from tweeks orginally bought two but there is only room for one at the moment. Doubt you'd get a std nova fan in there!
