I am going to service my car this weekend but does anyone know how much oil i need to put in my car as i have no idea and what other bits and pieces will i need to service it?Cheers andy.
About 3.5L for a small block 8v.
Just get a 5L container, so you have some left then incase you need top it up.
What you need depends on the engine. If your carb based then do pulgs, ht leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm, air filter, oil filter and get a new sump washer.
Cheers

If you're not sure on what to do, then I strongly suggest you invest in a Haynes manual.
I tend to stick about 3 litres in, then leave it be for half an hour or more, then top it up. I hate the job of getting the excess out if you put too much in lol.
iirc Haynes has a service bit?
At least you don't have to service this
