Hi guys

Just thort id share this with you lot, see what you think!
not long after i baught my nova i put it on 60mm G-max lowering springs and G-max uprated shocks. Ever since i did this i have had nothing but trouble with the front springs. Duno if its the roads where i live or wot, but i have now managed to snap 2 springs, meaning im now having to buy my 3rd set!
This is really starting to piss me off now and i really dont know what to do!
1st Question: Why to my springs keep snapping
2nd: Are G-max springs any good?
3: is it bad for your shocks if you snap springs, in other words do i need new shocks.
4: Does any1 hav a set of front springs for sale, CHEAP! 40 or 60mm

Cheers Ed

You have answered your own quaetion... you have snapped 2 sets and you are asking if they are good???

You get what you pay for.

Although I have never heard of them snapping. You must have fitted them wrong.

Yea ok
Thats a fair enough comment i suppose.
But when i baught them the springs were already on the shocks, and im pritty sure they would have been fitted correctly.
Any1 els had problems with G-max?

No probs, but they are cheap & ride badly in my opinion.

Whether you buy new ones or persue a warranty claim I'd cut your losses & invest in some proper springs.

Ive had similar probs with springs in the past.

Try some eibach extra low springs or custom ones from coilsprings.co.uk.

I started a suspension thread week before last outlining this kind of issue, use it to guide you towards better kit. At the end of the day competition built Novas would never use such turd components.
