Hi, i'm french
i have a question for you
i've just bought this opel corsa in order to repair it
The guy who sell me this corsa say me that is an 1.3 GT model
But i have a 4 shift transmition :wtf:
It is written that it's a 5hp model
but how can i see if it is a 1.3 GT or SR or a 1.2 S?
It is a corsa of 1987
here is some pics

Have a look on the engine block.

Open the bonnet, as you face the car, nearest side of the engine to you, right hand side, the engine code and serial number is stamped into the top of the block, you need to look down to read it, and probably need to wipe a layer of grime off too.

Was the sport the only one to come with the brown dash?

The 4 shift transmission is normal on a SR?:wtf:

so i have to put the 5shift transmission of my old 1.2S (the grey in the back) :thumb:

looks like its maybe SR/GT as it has a centre console, plus its the same colour as the dash brown, i think std models had'nt got the centre console, i know the sport had'nt anyhow.

juding by the nose of that car it was the very early SR, in which case get a manifold and twin choke carb of a later SR to bring it up to the later spec.

No sports seats... I'd say it looks like a euro equivalent to our Swing.

Agree our SR was a GT on the continent but not looking at that one.

weird one this....

got very early type front + rear bumper's, but has the later type tailagte
got sr dials, but no sports seats, also hasn't got the vinyl. or the sr spoiler

swings had the sr spoiler and dials, and sports seats, so its not the equivilant to that

Have a look at the engine code, just underneath spark plug number 4.
To see what engine it has.
