my car needs head

got a 1.4 on carbs, head has gone pop again.... can i put any small block head on there and still have carbs? which one would be best to go for?

the 1.4 carb head (14NV - 1.4 sr) has the best cam as standard, the 1.2 carb head (12ST) has the best compression I think.

If you fit a 1200/1300/1400SRI head, then you will also need swap inlets.

SRi head is the best on a 1400.

will my inlet manifold fir the sri head? and is the sri head the same as those found in astra m3 1.4 mpi?

Ye, if your head was off a mk3 astra 1.4mpi, then that is the same engine as a nova SRi.
You could get a 14se head off a nova sri, corsa sri 8v, mk3 astra 1.4 mpi.
