IMO the car didnt look like it does in the above pictures as it did in last months TV.

This car may have previously won concours but that aint hard when tour the only one in the competition!

its still a nova sport but i dont like the big front spoiler looks gay better with an original or even one from the same year sr

Jack

Thats the SR bumper extension, as fitted to SRs of the same year. I like it on SRs, but I'm not sure whether it suits that Sport...

Its actually an Irmscher item, and is different.

an original nova sr one would look nice but the irmscher front spoiler wastes it i think because its white would look better in the same grey as the bumpers

Like the painted over rear number plate fixings on those pic's.

I think the body panel stickers were repros but the sticker on the dash (about how to start the car with the 40's) and the one on the drivers front suspension turret (about the air in winter) were the genuine 1980's real deal, they came with my old twin 40 equipped nova (which wasn't a sport) which one of the previous owners had fitted a genuine sprt pack to, even came with the orginal brochure etc etc.

Dont really care anyhow. Its a Sport alrite. Being the best is another question.

The two small yellow ones, one goes on the blank panel besides the headlight switch and the other goes on the drivers side front suspension turret - you can see them in the TV feature.

Yeah they are originals but not to that car, only one car I know of with the originals fitted and that was next to me in that photo.
Dont think it is the best out there. There are some nice Sports emerging out there and there will be a few more(If I can get my ar5e in gear!) to come.

Nice 1 Rich, so what have you done with it so far, how much of it have you actually started to rebuild?

Novasport
21-05-06, 01:54 PM
Naff all, just been collecting parts. Got pretty much everything I need now.
Got a Sport that needs reshelling, all new panels, Revolutions, roll cage, brakes, carb setup, new Irmscher camshaft & exhaust manifold, exhaust, loads of new Irmscher interior, suspension & body bits, mint interior & a 28,000 mile Swing to use for parts.
Just need to get my finger out and get it to the bodyshop.
Need to get some cash to send it there aswell!

Ha Ha sounds like you been busy getting everything together. Have you got the red ashley backbox? If so where did you manage to get it from?

Novasport
21-05-06, 07:20 PM
No, I have an original Irmscher one & the nickel plated manifold.
Also got a new full magnex which I could use the centre section from.
Not sure if I will fit the red back box, Ashley said they would build me one a few months ago when I enquired. They quoted ?75 each, I put the number on the thread in Andy's website

cheshiresport
21-05-06, 09:32 PM
