Hey guys, I fitted a new head gasket and 1.2 head to my 1.3SR last week and asked my dad to take the head bolts through the final 30 degrees when hot while I was away on business. When Tightening the bolts his hand slipped off the wrench and his arm pressed against the rocker cover and now has the letters OHC branded on to his arm lol Obviously I think this is hilarious but it is quite a nasty burn so we are a bit concerned that the engine is over heating with the mods that I have used.

My temperature guage is reading quite low (about 1/3 up the guage) but I trust that about as much I would trust Gary Glitter baby sitting my 6 year old niece.

Would a GTe/GSi rad help or are they the same as my 1.2 rad? I also heared that the TD rad is bigger than the standard one, is this true and would that help?

How long since you changed the water pump?

Edit: Before the burning incident.

The 1.3 rad is good enough, get it flushed out, the thermostat can be swapped for a diesel one, so it opens a bit sooner, keeping the engine a bit cooler.
