With the sparecash i got from the ST i decided i wanted a valver nova sure enough one popped up already done for a nice little sum of ?600 so I bought it and well enjoyed a couple of days driving it.

We have a slight dilema where the engine caught fire one sunny afternoon so this is how she stands.

Nasty bit of fire damage on the valver.

Easily sorted tho with a new bonnet, may be able t-cut the smoke marks on the wings etc, depending how much they were burnt.

Any idea what caused the fire?

my guess will be whatever made the car ?600 will also be to blame for the fire, rough conversion

Any idea what caused the fire? Nowt to do with the conversion i dont think.
I think Rexy said he was trying to see why it wouldn't start, no fuel at the injectors, and a spark has just caught the fuel vapour when hes turned the engine over.
Must of been quite a scary moment seeing flames spreading right past the fuel lines etc

Basically what happened was this...

One day the car started fine and dandy, the next it wouldnt kick at all. So, first call was to get it running again. The wiring was dodgy, it ran to the right hand side (passenger side) instead of the usual Left hand (drivers) anyways... numpty here sourced the problem to be a injector related. It was either a wiring fault, crank sensor or somthing else. It seemed to be getting fule to the rail and poof it went up.

A new engine has been bought ;) and i've started to weld the bay as its not too happy atm. Inner wing needs sortin and a the battery tray. along with ****guard N/S and a small patch in the boot. Alll good fun. Wana try and get this car done dusted and running for Trax. Granted it wont be the pretty like my blue one, But i'm not going for that look.

Oh and the bonnet is staying Burnt ;)
