i have an f-reg 1.3 sr with 74,000 on the clock.it has 14inch gte alloys,i am gonna lower it soon but i dont know by how much.
i can only afford the springs, so should i buy -35,40 or 60mm springs. i have heard that with -60 it munches bushes and all sorts.
help please.

I dropped my 1.4 SR 40mm and it looks and drives very well.

i think that srs are lower than the typical 1.2 etc so go for 40mm
but 60mm would look the bollocks mate cause the wheels aint that big so would fill more of the arch!

Go 4 60mm, you only live once, but you'll have to go 4 the full lowering kit on 60mm.

Cos you have the 3 bars, I don't think you'll have to make any arch mods.

40mm is the max on just springs 60mm a with just springs and you will be looking at new shockers come mot time

Well I got some PUMA 45mm springs from Larkspeed ?45!! cheap!! it handles well and the rides OK! I've got 15" Alloys so I had to mod my rear arches apart from that it looks OK, You can see my car under "Alex Williams's 1.3SR" Good Luck, Alex.

I've also fitted the same Puma springs, and it's bloody mint! Handles like a dream, and like alexw, I've also got 15's and slightly had to mod the rear arches, with 195-45-15's on.
