Could be software copies of a decent chip, however the power gain stated just will not happen.
Probably more advantage to be had waxing your bonnet.

oh i dont doubt the figures are bogus at all,but if its a copy of a decent chip or something it could be good
not sure but i think thi is right.
you need to be careful, some chips clip onto the heat sensor in the engine and so giving a different reading out so that your normall ecu will put more power out!!! very dodgy if you ask me
if it was a decent piece of kit, why would it be sold for such a low price as a good version wouild retail for easily ten times the price!
chip that retail at ?300 ie, superchip etc, aint worth that.. cost no more that ?5 to make one of thier chips,
but due to demand , they can sell them at what they want basically

Agreed! :thumb:
considering that they also sell stuff to make your sky box work, I think maybe you should think twice.....
About the cost of chips. Sure the actual chip won't cost more than a few quid, but the actual work involved in actually remapping an engine to improve it, and cost of equipment means that ?300 is probably quite reasonable. ?300 doesn't buy much tuning these days....
can get a set of carbs for ?300 :p
right, they will be used, & probably need service kits + manifolds + setting up......
This thread is about modding efi chips, and my comment was based on tuning an injection motor.
Carbs have their place, but they are old fashioned.

carbs are from the old skool and i don't think they'll be out of use for a few years yet. Anyhow injection is the work of the devil! lol :)
If carbs are still good, why are they no longer used on new cars?
Injection is easy, compared to the black art of setting up a pair of webers

that may be the fact but i dont se any injection 1.3's that can match upto the sport? fair enough the sport aint amzing but for example a corsa C SRi 1.4 only has 88bhp and a nova sport is only a 1.3 and has 87bhp?? surely that must tell u something?
and a sport does 0-60 in 8.9 and corsa B GSi 1.6 16v does it in 9.0!
end of simply there aint many 'injection cars that are in same ball park as the carb's of the old school motors!!
my rant over !
