hi 2 every 1 who reads this!!

i have a mark 1 1.0lt at the mo and wanting 2 put the 1.2 in to it!!1
dose any one know if the mounting points for the 1.2 are the same as the 1.0????
can any 1 help??

As far as I know, all of the small block mounting points are the same.

THe 1Ltr drivers side mount is different than the other 8v novas.
You need the drivers mount off a OHC 8v nova.

Also, the 1L raditor is different, and the fuel tank.
So you'll need a carb 8v tank and lines(as 1L has no return)
And a OHC 8v raditor.

Is really worth the bother to swap to a 1.2? For an extra 10bhp?

tbh mate i wouldnt bother, the 1.2 is crap anyway you might as well get yourself and sr lump wont break the bank and will be abit quicker than a 1.2 lol;)

The 1.2 isn't bad, its fairly nippy and only really struggles up steep hills or overtaking things moving faster than 70mph.

Agree, I got a 1.2 and its a nippy lil engine decent performance for a 1.2 but as mentioned if you gonna go for a slightly bigger engine mite aswell go up another 100cc and stick a 1.3 sr in it.

Give you that bit extra

Or fit the 1.3 carb/inlet/cam and exhaust to your 1.2, and get almost 1.3 performance.

i am thinking of the 1.2 coz it is cheap on insurance!!!
and i was thinking of kent camming it and putting twin 40s on it as well!!!
do u still think its worht it???
i have a 1.2 sitting in my front garden so it b shame 2 just throw it away
!!!
