Door Locks

Hey all.

I went out an brought a Nova (Life) 1.0 And 1 of the door locks is missing:mad:
And to add to the insult my mate can open the remaining 1 with his locker key!

So i would love to know if something like a astra, vectra etc... Any basic vauxhall door locks wound fit and work?

You can get some solex locks mate, I have some and find them to be okay you can put them at a deadlock aswell so even if the window is broken you cant open the door pin or open the door with the handle.

You can get a set for about 30quid max, have a look on ebay

I would have thought the early astras (ie mk2) have similar if not the same type of locks as the trusty ol nova but id try to find a complete lock set from another nova including ignition purely for the purpose of having one key for all lol!!
But id be wary if you try to buy any from e-bay not keen on the idea myself that you buy a lockset from someone they then have your address and might have kept hold of a key, but im jus scared of loosin me nova lol!!!

Yea solex locks sounds good but the ebay thing may scare me off the idea.

I love it at looms.

But prob is you've got to be lucky to get what you want lol.
I went a couple of days ago with my mate to find some ford escort locks+keys.

It were great fun emptying buckets of keys all over the place to just get told that half of the cars are gone lol. GRRRR:mad:
