I have noticed recently that under braking i could hear a knocking/grinding noise coming from around the drivers side front wheel. i got underneath the car to have a look and i could see that the driveshaft has been rubbing against the chassis when i have been braking.

I had a quick look around and there does seem to be quite abit of play in the suspension strut but thats about it, can anyone advice as to what it could be?

any chance you could be a bit more specific...
it could be suspension, accidental damage, worn mounts, corrosion....

well its not accident damage and i dont think its corrosion although theres a chance. where would i look for corrosion. the mounts all look okay except i noticed the gearboxmount has been welded before so maybe this has worn.
what would i look to be checking on the suspension

thanks
