odd its like a v-tec or something

Ive just put a GTE lump in my nova and when i get to 5000rpm the revs seem a little sluggish then all of a sudden it kicks in sort of like a v-tec. Anyone know why this maybe happening?? Or i have to lift my foot of the accelerator and stamp it down for it to kick in properly. Odd! So any ideas people??

my sri used to do it. you can buy this injector additive that cured mine a couple of times. after a while though the crap built up and i had to get them cleaned and reconditioned. it went like stink after that but sonn built up with crap again prob cos it was my first car and it ran on a 5a everytime lol
