95.9 in Fontwell Shell. 97.9 in Bognor Regis Esso, 102.9 for 97 RON in Esso.
The EU is a common market, I think not.

Current average gasoline price in the US is about $2.92 per US gallon (3.8 UK litres) = ?1.57. We pay around ?3.72 for 3.8 litres...

Bear in mind only about 20% of the US price is tax - over here its around 68% tax/duty iirc. America can also draw from the SPR if it needs to. And the $ is pretty weak at the moment.

The surge in demand from China has caused a price raise, OPEC countries aren't sticking to their quotas, OPEC itself is cutting production deliberately to keep prices high, the cost of drilling the oil is constantly increasing, fears for Iran etc.

Its just absolute b***ocks we're getting screwed on fuel by the amount of fuel tax!!
Its going to drive me to using cooking oil mixed with kerosene & diesel!! :wall:
I just wish I could tell Gordon Brown pant stains hes a :wisewood: :O sucker.
Just makes me mad that the government can just tax everyone and then we dont get what we pay for - Roads/transport, NHS, schools, immigration, criminal justice, inheritance tax, home buying - all S**t!!

Sorry for my rant guys but its just not fair we're being taken from behind!!

I pinched an Astra GTE octane plug for my old car, it has the option of 95 or 98 RON rather than the Novas 95 or 93 RON, made it run a bit smoother on the optimax

I bet the garage where i work is the most expensive in the UK.
103.9 for regular unleaded
105.9 for diesel
Bloody ridiculous (cant spell)
I live in North Devon

in all honesty there is little to no point running optimax/ultimate in normal n/a engines... even with the other octane plug as the ecu probably isnt fully setup to use it.

its jsut a waste of money in my eyes, esp for day to day use. ok maybe if your doing a track day or 1/4 mile then yeah put better fuel in for the quick blat.. i remember when i use to put ?5 of Leaded in from a station that was still selling it and the car was cracking fun for a bit lol. but id never run it all the time.

lol, I used to stick a tank of leaded in the hatch every now and again :D

I just wish I could tell Gordon Brown pant stains hes a :wisewood: :O sucker.
Actually its the Conservatives who are mostly to blame for the high fuel prices - they introduced the whole escalating fuel duty and tax system on petrol etc. Gordon Brown abolished it, hence why the price we pay in taxes hasn't actually risen as much as the cost of the fuel itself. But still, he could have lowered the duty, but oh no...

p.s. I also find it amusing how you're technically saying "I just wish I could tell Gordon Brown pant stains hes a wisewood sucker." lol lol lol

Gordon never puts any tax on whiskey, but you could'nt run a car on it at ?25 odd quid a litre for a single malt!lol lol

I used to put a quid or 2 of diesel into the ole cavvy to keep everything nicely lubed up.

Worked a treat!
