Head Gasket.....

After fitten my T40s the head gasket went is this just a coincidents or could there be somthing else wrong. And cos i have to get a new gasket is there such thing as a performance type gasket that you can get to prevent it happen again :confused:

they go on their own free will.
ive seen one go during a run in procedure where the engien wasnt being stressed lol.

no real benefit in a performance one if there is one about... the HG is supposed to be the weak link so if soemthing goes wrong then that breaks as opposed to something more costly.

so long as it didnt lean out (doubt it on 40's). Std gaskets are fine. Make sure you get the head skimmed before refitting.

Sound, I sent the head off to be skimmed today so i should be back up and running for the weekend:) :thumb:
