Just been to the scrap yard and managed to pick up an electric sunroof motor loom etc from a MK 3 Cav as i thought it would fit into a nova. Just had a look at mine, the screws don't line up and if i could fit it the motor would be hanging out of the roof lining!!!

Can this be done & have i got the wrong kit?

Cheers :thumb:

I've got the guide from Total Vauxhall for fitting an electric sunroof into a Cav - might be of some use?

Is that the one with the two geezers for just vaux? Looked at it but not really much help as it's from one cav into another. BTW is there anything you don't know lol

I believe MAD_Rick and Loggyboy have done it...

Also a thread here (http://www.novaload.net/forum/showthread.php?t=61099&highlight=sunroof)

IIRC the correct holes to line up for the motor are wider apart than those that the Nova crank handle uses. They should be there above the foam though. you might need to space it on washers to line up the drive sprocket.

I think the power wire runs off the interior light, it does in the cav.

Bear in mind the Nova has pre & post 89 sunroof types. I bet the Cav one is post 89, but it shouldnt make no odds. Its been done loads before.
