hi lads ive got about a grand i wanna bye a nova H,J,K reg summat like that, only 17 so thinking about getting a 1.2 sumthink?, can any1 give me sum advise on wot moter 2 get?

if your after a 1.2, then the 'nova diamond' i'd recommend,mate had one,looks quite nice and has 5-speed gearbox!,in a h-reg they come quite cheap 2! :), some would say the sxi but....:p

well since your 17, like me then ur limited to a 1.2 at the most. don't just buy the first motor you think you want, there's plenty out there! BUT, always check the cost of the insurance before you buy! I've got a 1.2i but i'm not gettin insured for another 2 months (when i'm 18) because its ?400 cheaper for the insurance policy! And don't be thinkin of drivin with no insurance, mines stuck on the path.

oh and you might want to do pass plus, its gonna save me ?200 on me premium, but check your insurance will accept it. i suggest you try cis for a quote (www.cis.co.uk)

im 17 and have a L reg 1.2i sx and have done a fair bit to it, (GSi lookalike) except interior ! insurance is going through my mam and me as main driver so its not so bad ?700 ish

I have 1.2 - good car to start with - go for mk2 (younger cars - less rust if good previous owners) - also easy to mod and a good starter on insurance. there can be a big difference in insurance from 1.2 to 1.2i (merit to merit +) make sure your insurance company know exactly what make yours is - It took me 1 hr to convince my insurers I didnt have aa 1.2i coz it was a late reg (nov 91) and apparantly according to them no 1.2's were reg'd after this date without injection (pants!) - check boot, inner spaces underside for rust etc...

not got anything to do with which car you should get but i am 17 aswell and insurance is really expencive so if you go as a named driver and get one of your parents to insure it it is alot cheaper. i pay ?350
