View Full Version : Motorbike engine in a Nova? Smartuki Video

I was pondering this question this morning :wtf: about putting a Hayabusa engine into a stripped 'Novabusa' :D with sequential gearing (but no reverse).
Surely someone must have had the same idea and put it into practice??

I remember coming across these video a while back of a Smark car with a GSX-R 1000 engine, the 'Smatuki' which I'm sure some of you guys have seen before.

a few years ago, there was a stripped out mini at max power live with 2x hayabusa engines in it, that must of gone like $h!t off a stick!

Nice,realy like the smart car ones,and them mini's are fappin mad,just add both them vids with the minis in are at curborough sprint track,woo:D

I've been thinking about this a lot since seeing these vids. Is the concept of putting a motor bike engine into a car like that to connect the drive shafts to the rear wheels or create a solid rear axle and connect via a chain like a go kart?

I wouldn't consider doing it, I just think I'll sleep better when I know lol

no - as i gather from the caterhams and westfields - you use a rwd rear axle an adapt the drive cog from the engine to run a propshaft http://biketransplant.tripod.com/ this site has load of info including how to make tiptronic gearing, i thought the nova would have been too heavy for a bike engine? do they have enough torque?
