View Full Version : door mounted leccy window buttons
Any u guys ever fitted door mounted leccy window buttons? m8 had a superb nova (till freelander hit it) and he had a set of Fiesta turbo door mounted switches rigged up to the nova leccy windas. Never saw them but he reckoned they looked mint - giving them to me for nowt. Worth it?
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotamy!
mount them on the door handle. will look mint!
Is the voice in my head getting on your nervs?

I did in my Antibes originally when I had a MicroScan 3-switch kit fitted.
When I got proper GM kit though, I used the proper Nova loom to moved the switches to the centre console. (using Sierra switches)
I'm making some custom door-cards at the mo and I'm thinking of moving them to the doors again.....it's miles better 'cos the switches can be positioned so you don't have to move your body...just move your arm down.
Anyone with a MKI will know it can be quite a reach to get to the switches....not as bad in a MKII though 'cos of the improved position, but a case of really shit ergonomics.
Anyway...here's a pic:

I had them in custom-built door pods mounted in the pockets as you can see.
I've got some MKII Orion switches that I'll probably use if I do relocate them.
