Well i had the car for free as pictured here:http://www.btinternet.com/%7Eletmelive/html/99_1_b.jpeg

Well we will start with the calibra seats, i had to cut and sew to back up, still gotta do some finishing touches before it goes in but the pics below show the pain lol:

http://www.btinternet.com/~letmelive/burton_modified/images/5.jpg

the front seats only needed the subframes changing for them to fit in, although we are having to get a longer gear nob as i am small and the stick hits the seats in reverse or 5th gear, making it difficult. (will update on this later)

Marks also grinded of some metal at each side of the back of the car, and will be taking spare wheel well out for my 2 jap exhausts to fit nicley.http://www.btinternet.com/~letmelive/burton_modified/images/9.jpg

Also got some g-max shocks (gsi kit) and 40mms from what i was told this kit on an sri should lower it 60mm same as standard 1.0/1.2 kits.

Lowered withough seats in, last bit of rust to be tidyed up :), also shows my sxi alloys :p.

I have also fibreglassed and retrimmed back door cards in suade, Front ones are having black suade and a strip of white leather with a dragon embroided on each side :). And i have also done a suade ROOF, yep not got pics yet but they will be up soon. i have done all the sewing and retrimming. :)

are you going to get it sprayed a different colour or just get the bonet, lights etc sprayed the same colour as the existing paint? looks good tho. i like the wheels! dint no if you noticed already but the front wheels on the wrong side so the tyres facing the wrong way!

letmelive
02-05-06, 07:17 PM

also the roof lining is being properly put in tonight, I would do the roof lining again and post to paying people but... i will only do this on non sunroof versions as mine is non sunfoof, also only on 3 doors (as i have measurements) Anyone interested, cost of fabric (in my case i had suade) and time and profit, how much are people willing to pay for this?

nope not at all, front arches need bit of modding but the rest is fine, you wont get better fit then 49m offset :P

Ok well getting there now, i passed my driving test, got insurance fully comp with all mods for ?650 just got the final spraying and putting it all back together to do now, below is pic of the bonnet, not to everyones taste but i like it, was inspired by the clio front end. :).

Also the novadose bumper, altered it slightly as i wanted to see a little bit more mesh, yet again not to everyones taste.

we have also blened m3 side skirts into the body as well which i must say follows the lines of the novadose kit. also if you notice on the bonnet the wings have been slightly altered near the light to follow the bad boy.

that looks good

re removing metal at the back - make sure you dont break into the rear - I did this (due to rust) and had to build it back up again with fibreglass...
