Need to change my nova from 1.2 on the tax book to a 1.4 sr. Have'nt got a clue where to start. Have no details on the new engine except engine code and its carb fuelled without cat so its probaly pre 91. Don't have the reg of the donor car.
What details will i need to provide to DVLNI, and what form do i need to declare engine change. Thanks very much, sorry if i seem stupid as i've never had to do anything like this before, cheers

Not sure if its different in Ireland.
But here, all i did was fill in the new cc and engine no. on the log book and sent it to DVLA. Thats it.

there should be no need to do the tax as its still in the low tax group aswell

sorry, see now you said to send it off. Just had a look at my tax book and it seems to be as simple as just changing what you said, engine no and cc. Thanks
Fair play! Lots of people wouldnt bother!

i wasnt going to an never have but this new mega gay mot system they have bought in requires you to have the correct engine size on the log book
what about changing from 1.4 to 1.6? is is just a case of changing details on the log book and send it off to the dvla?
Yup.
And in return they'll ask for the payment for increased tax group :thumb:

Is it size and engine number? Or just the size?
thats a point, will they want to know the new engine number? as i dont have a clue what it is!
