Hey guys,

I'm in the middle of replacing my head gasket. But now that the head is off I am wondering if this may be a good oppertunity to fit a 1.2 head on to my 1.3 block. The 1.2 head I have is in a bit of a state at the moment and will require a bit of time and money to get it up to scratch. So I want to ask a few questions before I commit my self to it.

Will I have enough valve clearence using 1.2 head on a 1.3 block with AST2 cam as it may be necessary to lightly face the the head as well?

My valve springs are most probably shagged so I want to replace them. Is it worth getting some uprated springs from Kent Cams to match my cam or just fit new standard ones?

Cheers

it will all fit on fine. unless you plan to rev the living daylights out of it then std springs are fine (we fitted std spraings to Jims 1.6 that runs a 300deg cam and revs to 8K happily and there is no valve slap etc)
