I have a standard shape nova (mk1) which i would like to do up (don't know how, this the the question really), but i don't wanna look like some boy racer with loads of cheap tacky looking plastic everywhere, i just want it to look different (any small changes just to customise it, not to make it look like what it isn't)

Any ideas or help would be appreciated

post a link to some pics so we can see wot state car is in. How much cash u got to spend. how do u want it to look? best place to start is the gallery section - get some ideas. get some mags and work out how different u want to be. I have std MK2 1.2 and am concentrating on bodywork mainly.
Add a spoiler, side skirts, GTE bumpers, new paint job, do up the interior, decent speakers, alloys, suspension and so on.

when I got my car it was a totally standard 1.4sr mk2.

As soon as I pulled up outside my house in it I was out there cahnging bits.

In the order I did things

Take off mud flaps
de badge
clear side repeaters
colou code handles bumpers etc
remove wing arial and fit b-sting arial
alloy petrol cap

All of these mods are simple and in expensive.

Once you have some money you can look at getting, alloys, lowering, bodykit (new bumpers, sideskirts splitters etc)
