Is it possible to still get the SR vinyl for the sides of the car? where can it be bought, or do vaux still make it?
If not, has anyone ever painted the side's grey to replecate it?
BTW if using vinyl do i have to put the rub strips back on to make it look even?
Go to a local signwriters. They'll do it fo you, the original Vynal was on standard 3M vinal IIRC.

would it be best then to keep the bumpers grey? its a white sr btw. Has anyone any pics of the vynal done by a sign writers without the rub strips?
IMO it would look better with the bump strips. Would also look better with the bumpers grey.

I think it'd be better with the bump strips too, for three reasons.
1) it would look better
2) the bump strips would protect the top edge of the vinyl, which would otherwise be easily damaged in a car park
3) it would make the vinyl a lot easier to fit because the top edge wouldnt need to be perfect
i looked into this, the signwriters wanted ?20 if i fitted it or ?40 if they did, hope that helps

EDIT: btw vauxhall still stock the vynal but its cut ready - cost ?big bucks

If a signwriters will do it for ?40 it sounds like a bargain.

thats very resonable. i presume i would have to remove the gte skirts in order for them to fit the vinyl?
