Will 7x15 et38 wheels with 195/45 tires rub on a Nova with the rear lips already turned up? I had et33 bmw wheels fitted before, and they cleared (after turning up the lips), but they were 6x14...

Extremely dodgy offset, bet they'll rub with people in the back .

can someone explain the et throry? if et45-49 fit a nova and that dictates where the wheel sits in relation to the arche rim, where does et38 sit? is it further out or further in? Can u get wheels bigger than et49 (et50?) and whats the limit?

the lower the number means it sticks out further. to higher number like over 49 then it will rub on the shock

yep the offset is the width of the hub on the wheel. The bigger the offset, the closer it will be to the inner arch, the smaller offset, the closer it will be to the outer arch. Its best to stick to 45-49.

ade.....yep....you can get higher ET than 49......it depends how wide the wheels are.

e.g.....if the wheels are pretty wide like Ferrari or Lambo rear ones (like 345's on the Countach) then the off-set could be as much as 150....maybe more! It's an actual measurement in mm so it can be any size really, up to a limit determined by wheel sizes.

Normally though, the off-set used will still be low as it's best for performance (handling etc) to have the wheel mounting face as close to the centre of the wheel as possible. (all depends on suspension geometry as well of course...gets complicated!)

With a nova lowered -60, and 16" wheels, what would be the best offset so that they wont rub, even with people in the back, Got G-Max suspension if that helps.
