Wiper linkage doing my head in,Lol

Started fitting a single wiper today, but that didn't go to plan.

So just thought i would wip the std ones back on.
After fighting with it for about an hour i realised the wiper spindels had some how turned round, stopping the linkage from fitting right :roll:lol

So i sorted that.

But now when i turn the wipers on, the blades move down about 1" and then go up and wipe as normal.
Why are they moving down??
I've had to set the wipers about 4" up the screen so the wipers dont go off the bottom of the screen when i turn them on.

Any ideas ? lol

this is my std 2 wipers and linkage im attempting to refit,lol.

Its not the single wiper kit. I aint fitted that yet.

Does your single wiper kit have a new balljoint part that joins the single linkage to the wiper motor? Or can you reuse the nova one? My nova one doesn't fit the linkage.

Lol.
Sorted it.
I just removed the linkage from the motor end, pulled it so the wipers were where they should be, refitted the linkage on the motor and tightened the bolt.
And all seems fine.
