Engine trouble!

when the car is warm and i do around 50-60 the car splutters feels as if its running a cylindre down n then when i put the clutch down n rev it its fine but it loses completely all power but no lights come on, on the dash. Iv recently had the resistor replaced on the dizzy cap cud this be the fault!

Could be carb icing then; have you got a warm air feed?

If you still have the standard air filter, try putting that back on for a day or two and see if it cures it.

Hmmm, a K&N shouldn't make it eat fuel excessively... could be overfuelling. Have you checked all the choke mechanism?

no how do u do that? im not really anygud on engines but im learnin

What is the choke on when it does it?
Should be fully off once it will run without any.

Best Way to learn bout the engine and that is get a Haynes manual got a complete guide to striping down everything in it.
