im thinking of buying a new 1300 distributor, rotor and cap. Should i bother or just get the cap and arm?

that looks a lot like a 1400 spi "dizzy" (which isnt really a proper dizzy as it needs the ecu to do the timing etc)

migth be best to go get a proper carb dizzy...

hope this is hijacking but to advance dizzy timing, do i turn the dizzy back towards the engine bay or front facing me?

pass lol.

but you dont "have" to get a 1200/1300dizzy. you can get a similar looking one from a 1400 carb engine

Turn it clockwise when looking at the cap(i.e. towards the windscreen)
