starter wire 1.2 to 1.4sr

Have bought myself another nova, it was a 1.2 spi and has now a 14nv (sr) engine fitted. Car has been fitted with an alarm, but is'nt starting on the key, can any tell me what colour wire goes to the starter for engaging it, not the heavy feed red one, but the one from the key?
At the moment the guy i bought it off had setup the starting by two wire's because barrel was bust, i fitted a new barrel and it switches on the car but won't crank.

A Red/black wire goes to the solenoid from the ign switch.

thanks got it cranking now, is the coil feed from ignition switch?

coil dose'nt seem to have power going to it, where does the coil get its power from? Fusebox?
