Asbo Orange... lol

There was a Euro style Nova in Total Vauxhall a while back in a similar orange colour. I think I've got it round here somewhere...

What body kit have you got (if any) and what colour are your rims? Maybe you could get a photoshop done by one of our more computer literate members!

how about orange basecoat with gold lacquer, its simlar to that car link posted by kiddo. Its a lovely effect and quite cheap, get your orange basecoat, enough lacquer and the pearl powder should cost at most ?20 for enough to do a nova. Sound's simple but looks so good.

are you sure you want abyss front, most ppl regret it including me, very plain looking bumper, mesh is flush with bumper no depth it aint nice, no lines in bumper, no fogs and most important an absoblute terrible fit.

just my opinion, you'll do it anyway lol

well its either that or put the gsi one back on and cut the vents out on the front ? im hopefully going to have an intercooler in the front cause its a turbo diesel motor going into it so i thought the abyss would make it easier ?lol

I cut my old one out but im not very good with the fibreglass and it always looks rough on the edges where the vents come to nearly meet the front of the bumper . cant get a nice straight line down therelol

i've my gsi wide mouthed, the style with the depth in the air box, so the mesh sits 2 inches back. Its just time and work to do it is'nt it, after a couple of months of working in the evenings at it, it looks okay but still not perfect as you said

the focus st orange is ?700 for the paint alone and i know from experience that u will never be able to match it if u go to paint it again!
seems to be a popular choice at the moment!

thats very expensive, why not pick a jazzy orange basecoat, and get some good 2k lacquer and gold pearl powder?

Oh Yeahhh

i fail to see how its that expensive since its mixed from an ingredients list.... eg i went to a bodyshop and got 3 different gm colours all mixed up for the same price per litre... and i bet i could go and get ST orange (goppppping colour anyway) for the same price. Id say ANY paint for a nova will cost about ?200 for an inout job. then the labour etc

thats very true. The only difference in paint is the brands, for example i can get a 1 1/2 of max meyer in flame red for ?35 for good quality paint, where as the same paint and 1 1/2 litres of glasurit brand is almost ?60. I fail to see why st orange would be so expensive, true that some paints can be a 3 or 4 stage pearl colour but 700 quid is unreal. But i can tell you without doubt the best 2k lacquer going, is glasurit, you will find that any other lacquer on the market will dull ALOT after blocking down and buffing, but glasurit retains its glossy shine, i pay ?24 for 1 litre and would never use any other brand. Its maybe a little bit expensive for doing a whole car but its worth it, espically on a basecoat pearl colour like st orange any other lacquer would'nt do it justice.

Question is why would you want Flame Red when there are other, far superior shades of red.... lol
