View Full Version : digi dash help! one wire!

im soldering up my digi dash at the mo as i dont like the choccy blocks that are on there! there is one wire that i cant find where it goes to! it comes from the nova loom and is brown/yellow. any help would be good!:)

so i take it i can leave this blanked off? just looks like it has been connected to some thing at some point!

ABS on a nova loom :confused:

Brown/yellow is usually something to do with ecu diagnostics etc.

hmmm have to check, also i have 3 black lives coming from the black astra loom plug! the spare one is deffo live! may aswell run the spa gauges off that one.

Ye, the digidash plugs do have a few lives and earths, that join to one on the nova

not before getting my dad to slober all over it so its nice and wetlol

yup that was the diagram i was using! done a search! thats why i was concerned that i could not find a brown yellow!? annoying me not knowing what it is!:cry:

have you sorted it mate? i could have a look at mine if you still want to know anything, as iv got no surround on it, and will easily come out.

well ive connected it all up and its all working! you could have a look for the brown/ yellow for me tho mate! i think i saw an abs signal input mentioned in the haynes wiring diagram!
also one of my nova loom live wires is dead! is it ok to run the dash off one 12v input?

APPARENTELY, this may be an old wives tale, but the digidash puts a lot of strain on the nova wiring as its thinner and cant carry the amp's or something...

So one maybe a bit digy if thats true /\

According to the Nova Bible aka the Haynes manual Bad_boy_nova is correct is that it is the wire that comes from the manual choke cable and activates the warning light.

So if you don't have a choke don't worry about it!!
