Well ive spent most of the weekend beginning to try and sort my nova out, originally i brought it as a replacement for my corsa while i getting it back on the road, but ive decided to keep it now so thought id get to work.
So far ive started getting rid of rust, ive done the bootfloor and resprayed it, various little bits in the engine bay, touched up the rear arches although there is still some bubbling :( and touched up the front arches. i've also dewipered the tailgate. i have also put on masitaly alloys from my corsa and put new rear shocks on. plans for the exterior are to just tidy it up, get rid of more rust, fasten the skirts on properly and maybe change the backbox.
The engine is a 1.6 SV engine from an astra, since having the car i've put a weber 32/34 carb on with the airintake from a cavilier modified to fit with a shorted induction tube with a pipercross foam filter on the end. ive routed a cold air feed from the the gap in the bumper to the filter. A nova standard 4-2-1 manfold has been fitted i think this was off a GTE. plans for the engine are a uprated cam and a good service.
Heres some pics of how its looking so far, you cant really see the rust but its along the bottom of the doors and a tiny bit on one of the arches.
