the cav head wont fit, IIRC
even if the cav 1.6 is the small block one the CR would be pushed up to insane levels for a std car with a 1.3/1.4 head on there.
and what is it with the irish contingent insisting on fitting the 1.6 carb engine to their cars when they are really an inferior engine.. best off with a 1.6 mpi engine.
cheers,
wouldnt be my choice but a free engines a free engine lol better than the 1.2i he had before

i dunno to be honest.. the 16sv is like 70-75bhp lol so better to fit a simple 1.4 engine ;)

cheers lee Pah, no chance.
Get modding the 1.2i, save on insurance and tax. :)
And i bet it wouldn't be far behind a 1.6sv engine :thumb:
well i have both a 1300 and 1400 head and 1400 carb and inlet that he could use. if he changed his 1.2i into carb. would that be towards a good start? he has a 4-1 after market exhaust. i quess if he had a cam it would help too?
If he wants a ported & polished 1.6 SV head I have one for sale - I was mis-sold it as a GTE head so its just sat in a cupboard!

there is a lack of E16SE engine's here, even a 14nv is hard enough to find
