welding chassis

how hard /how much does it cost to get chassis welded,the box section underneath the inner wheel arch near were the drivers feet are is rotten :cry: can it be done at home by bodgeing/welding some metal plate on to the box section or does it require the box section cutting out an replaced ?

It depends on how rotten it is and how good you are with a welder. Some pics would be good. see Craig's thread here (http://www.novaload.net/forum/showthread.php?t=61838&page=5), when i saw this last week Icouldn't see any problems with reparing it.
